Maelstrom Raid Event - Slice & Blast, Lethal; Lilith Serpentine Shapeshifter, Event Rare

The shields not starting at beginning of fight and low agi makes the L worth 1/4 of what it would have been if the shield procs at beginning . Same with bird keeper. The shield mechanics completely determine the L value.

It's bad enough that they're manipulating the proc rates when you're burning ammo, but c'mon, 2 out of 8 buffs happening after you let your ammo regenerate is just stupid.

If you made a decent lethal as a reward, you might have more people willing to burn res and not regenerate it, thus removing the need to consistently give a player a scenario that happens only 2% of the time. And 2% is being generous. It's probably lower than that.

With a single shot I can do 3 mil damage (when everyone's in a good mood) and with an all out I did less then 8 mil. Wth is up wih that? I'm baffled.

Yeah, I find it amazing that I am consistantly going at least 2 of my 5 rounds each raid boss with NOTHING proccing and I am only running 2 buffers. So that is 16 potential procs in a row without a 30% chance. I suck at stats, but that seems highly improbable

I've hit 4mil on single, and no higher than 12mil on AO.

Yeah. I'm going whole fights without certain characters proccing at all. I've had fights with 0 out of 4 buffs triggering. I've dumped a buffer for sheer muscle because unless they buff they're dead weight anyway. And out of 100+ cells I got 2 uc whip guys. I didn't manage to catch the glitch  

Def seems like a dip in dmg but until lvl 100 bosses start droppin i'm not real sure the difference

It's honestly seemed actually random to me for this event

Nevermind I retract that, just did 36 mil, then 10 mil 3 times in a row after lol

Hmm is it just me or has this event seemed lackluster to an extreme so far? I'm hardly fighting to stay in the top 10. I know its early but after the recent PvP event this just seems really slow

I'm at 32 using like 40 mags and no ac. Started farming and half messing around so i'm down about 35 mags but i'm not "shooting" for anything other than 50 or 60 whatever lol

The savages arent nearly as good as last raid, after last pvp, people are probably lower on cans too. Nobody likes the same L twice in a row either lol

Not using any savages here. Just hit rank 26 on the damage ranking with a real nice (to me) battle at 24.5mil.

Obviously my best this event but i've watched it a few times lol

I keep getting these mysterious force closes during boss battles, which then makes me lose my ability to ask for aid so I have to spend an extra mag just to pull up the ask for aid screen again.

Very annoying.

I did a AO for 6 mil earlier right after doing a single mag for 4 mil haha. Almost doesn't seem possible lol

Did anyone else get 5 rv2 and 4 red savages in the cells. I did didn't know if anyone had this good of luck?

Ok so I was reading thru here and noticed you guys posting cxb bots and I have an embarrassing secret. I fatal infused all mine. I was and still am a noob at this game and thought they were all crap mercs. I am still learning and unfortunately I learned the hard way. Kinda sad now

Yeah man i go slow with every single thing in those areas now. Some areas def need more of a lockdown sorta thing

I thought I'd post here instead of the Tier list as this thread seemed more relevant but... whoa Dual Barrage!! I bought the 8n1 PE off the exchange for 10 AC after seeing the effect of the 8n1 PE I had and it's amazing. Running two of them plus stinger (fek, am I stuck with just this R2?) and trying to refine the lineup (>10M AO consistently).  Because of the multiple rounds, it's feeling more consistent than typical chain buffs.

It'd be cool if they left this dynamic in the game in some form as it makes for a nice alternative to pure buff teams.

Sidenote, I can't believe how much was spent in the last PvP event, only to see the L go for 150 AC on the exchange... crazy!

Its with most L's i have seen mrpug. I spent 400+ res on tower and the L2 goes for a bit less. Quite less actually lol

But the overall event and earning it was worth it to me. Just not over and over lol

PvP was crazy because they released a boss with a new dynamic, and everyone thought the shield was pre battle for the first 2-3 days of the event. Once people found out the shield wasn't pre battle it slowed down considerably. Yourchaplain got 3rd and didn't do anything but use natural regen all last day. Which was crazy because every time I've gone for a pvp lethal the last day was insane pushing.

After the event Birdkeeper was selling for 300 cans. Once the new lethal was announced with the exact same shield dynamic it immediately screwed over everyone who worked hard to earn it by saturating the market with the same skill.

The exact things would happen to mercs like Swift Nox if they released another lethal with a buff strip ability. He would go from 350 cans to 200 over night.

Sorry new players, Dakota is out to screw you over by spamming the market with lethals with the same skill to keep them worthless, and refusing to release lethals with the older overpowered skills, forcing their price higher and higher.

It's creating too much of a disparity.

Lol the top 10 took it easy last day because sirus stopped playing IIRC

and no birdkeeper ever sold for 300. I put mine up for that with high hopes but 175 was its peak. Unless you mean the v2, which I havnt payed attention to

That is an understatement lol even if I can use 20 savages at the same time they still SUCK!!!!
it's easy to calculate their maximum potential damage and you will see that without the DB glitch a full savage squad will never ever reach 30mil damage on full auto. it's like Dakota is encouraging people not to buys savages from them lol

@Paint- yes I was talking about v2, I saw 3 of them go shortly after the event, before the next lethal announcement at ~300 each.

@duavae you got that right. I ran 9 savages and my leader for about 2 hours and never saw above 10mil.

Granted 4 were the rare savage and none of the savages were above lvl 60 bit even still......crap! lol

The fact that it is so incredibly difficult to level during the raid really really really reduces the effectiveness of savages. I might think of adding them to my group, except for the fact that unless you pull the savage on the first day and ghetto evolve it, it takes forever to hit lvl 99 during the raid.

I am personally of the opinion they should be ramping up the xp gained in raid zones during the event, not penalizing it.

Or on top of slipping e4 savages in cells maybe e4 at lvl 99/99 as well?

I'm for it. lol i pulled six e4 savages from cells the first night lol

They do, its a glitch that causes the xp to show wrong but its still double.

Also leveling savages one by one is the fastest way to get them all lvled early

I think if you have 200 cans you can throw into an event and the time as well, you will have your lethal

I just did 7 mil on single mag. My lowest all-out so far is 6.9 mil. Figures.

How much damage you do and who your allies are also plays a big part in how many cans/mags you use for raid. I have used 1 can so far (and that was by accident). The rest has been off spending mags, most of which were being used after I let one mag naturally regenerate. Since I MVP about 90% of all the bosses I fight and (usually) get discovery credit, I can keep my mag supply at the same number by fighting a boss every 15 minutes. At least until the SRB's show up or if I see my ranking starting to slip a bit. All told though so far, I've lost around 80 mags using this method (lost, not spent; there's a difference).

This has probably been one of the easier raid events I've been a part of in a long while. Seems people are pretty pissed about the skill of the L being the same as the last one and are protesting by not playing or going as hard as they would normally go.

I for one wouldn't mind seeing a spate of lethal reboot/refit events like they did with Marcus. I think they'd see a swell in activity when it came time for Kill Clause, Hellcat and Jackson to re-release.

I notice that I get more buffs on second attack. So I have been hitting with 1x ammo upon discovery, then waiting 15mins or until there are more attackers or allies have hit... and save all out for when i can earn bonuses

It's a 2^ Epic with double action! A 3 ATK hit with chance to lower def and pre-battle ATK buff for self and Adjacent.

It's interesting that up until now, the last # in the JSON is Slice & Blast at #10501 while this new merc #10507. Wonder who the 6 mercs are that are in between the two?
