Maelstrom Raid Event - Slice & Blast, Lethal; Lilith Serpentine Shapeshifter, Event Rare

Not too impressed with the L, but I like the Event Rare.

I feel the same, the L has a terribad name and the skills seem very familiar.... Event rare could be interesting though. Art for the L is great though, very sci-fi. Can't say I feel the same about the event rare art though, it's not bad, it's just not very sci-fi.

Well, it is the Maelstrom, which they seem to think of as their chance to do more fantasy-based art.

But yeah, pretty under-whelming Lethal who is basically just Bionic Birdkeeper, good Event Rare, and the savage skills don't look as if they'll be absolutely necessary to dominate.

Just not sure where I want to place though, as I'm more interested in getting the Event Rare than the L.

I was thinking the Tendril Whip Combatant might be worthwhile after the event, but then I saw his stats and skill modifier. No thank you. Still might make for the art though. I'm digging the art for both savages a lot.

Doh, I didn't see that. I thought it was 4 random enemies. Great, now nothing looks good to me for this event.

Guess I'll farm it and wait again for PVP. They're making it easier and easier for me to let go of the dragon's tail though.

I am completley underwhelmed with this L. Based on the last 4 Ls they've put out, it seems they are trying to force people to turtle teams. Agree that only the Epic looks good for this event.

I don't think they are trying to force people to turtle teams at all. In fact, this last pvp what did you see more of, turtle teams or nuke teams? For me, every team I came upon was either 5 lethals or 5 nukes. I think this "bubble" frenzy is helping to counter the 5 nuke teams that win if they get one proc, not necessarily force anyone to run turtle teams.

Oh, and how is this lethal better than birdkeeper? 10% more DR in exchange for an 80% atk damage modifier on this skill? Birdkeeper is awesome, but this is a HUGE step down. not visa versa.

Meh, figuring out if Birdkeeper or S&B is better depends on what kind of team you're running I guess.

S&B has 10% more shielding plus an extra attack that weakens 3 enemies, while BK hits 2 enemies, albeit a little harder, and stuns them.

I'd still say S&B has a slight edge on BK, but I wouldn't want either of them.

haha...yet another underwhelming L (but LOVE THE ART FOR IT!!!!!!), but the event rare looks good.

Also, if they ever do eventually add the "Add skill" option for leaders, I'd suggest hanging onto your Splicer Android for that skill (Silencing Needles: Deal WIS damage, and sometimes silence every enemy. 100% Damage modifier, 30% proc rate). That would come in very handy

Just a rough estimate for the event rare Tendril-Whip skill:

with the 3x event rare bonus, it should give ~9500 ATK + DEF to self and adjacent.

Paired with leader and another Event Rare/ATK merc on the other side, it should be a pretty decent buff (and even better if stacked with other event rares). Obviously not worth a damn after the event's over, but that's a given .

Splicer looks like more of a hinderence than a help, even with the 5x epic savage bonus (unless you're like strap and have 15 tele, then she'll be quite helpful).

true, but not everybody has mord. Plus, with the savage bonus, it'll have better attack than mord.

Events like these make me happy that I dont normally play to keep the rewards, more to get the best deal out of trading them and to win of course

Diggin' the art but the Lethal looks like it should be the weakest out of the 4 . I like the new variety and level of balance they're bringing to the game for newer/weaker players like me. But I agree it looks meh for top players. Old mercs are still stronger, which in a way honors the loyalty of old players.

Well i called it, last big summer holiday stateside = a tranny version of glinda the good witch wielding knives. I was kinda thinking that maybe with the expected drop in participation they might just phone it in again and serve up some refried ice bots 2.0 and now i kinda wish they had. Im actually far more interested in what the award level brackets will look like. They seem to be decreasing the pool of whatt they hand out steadily and i dont think its to amp up the value of the rewards cause they arent all that stellar to start with lately. Im starting to wonder how many real life full time salaries a few thousand mostly freegen players can actually support...

For some reason the lethal looks like lockdown v1 in a different pose. Lilith looks like Tideslayer's rebel sister, possibly a distant cousin of Siren. The rare savage looks like one of those junker guys and the epic looks a bit shabby

Just used 3 mags on a RB and the last 2 mags had identical buffs, 2 out of 8, right down to the same guys.

But of course that's just random chance.

Of you have cells trade them in! The packs are hot right now. Just did 14 and have 6 event epics and 4 event rares lol

I just sent a PM to my team. I think Dakota screwed up their code and put the good rares and epics in the free event cells and the crap draws in the paid cells. Some of my teammates got burned pretty bad on the paid draws.

Okay thats 12 event epics and 8 rares. I'm so tempted to put them all in and see what happens lol maybe lvl them up first lol

Yeah I think Dakota just screwed up this event big time. By morning in the US, everybody will have a savage squad for free.

Grouping them together will give you a X 6 bonus. With the right buffers, yeah, you could do a lot more damage.

Yeah, this event just became a freebie that Dakota will just have to eat. All I know is that some programmer at Dakota is gonna get an ear-full tomorrow morning.

This is awesome, i can farm mags while im winning at the same time. Fighting lvl 40 stage 3 bosses and getting mvp on single shot and mags just keep going up!

Hmm that's weird. The blood cells are giving me the usual crap cards. Are you guys using iOS? Android here. I wonder how Dakota will deal with this if only iOS code is bugged.
