I figured there needed to be a thread to discuss the latest recruit offerings, so here ya go.

I'll start by asking, what does everybody think of the latest Merc Tier offering?

I think in order to answer that, we'll need the pricing for all the tiers, which I think Dakota has not given. That is, they won't tell you the cost of the next tier until you purchase the current one. Anybody who gets the final pricing on the last two, please post here.

Tier 1 (1 Recruit, 1 PS, Lethal Base Rate X1): 100 coins

Tier 2 (1 Recruit, 3 AM, Lethal Base Rate X2): 200 coins

Tier 3 (2 Recruits, 3 AM, Lethal Base Rate X3): 500 coins

Tier 4 (5 Recruits, 2 AC, Lethal Base Rate X4): 1500 coins

Tier 5 (7 Recruits, 1 Epic Guaranteed, Lethal Base Rate X5): 2500 coins

Tier 6 (10 Recruits, 5 AC, Lethal Base Rate X7): 4000 coins

I wont touch omega cells..... Ive never pulled a fam I could sell for 3 res..... Maybe bad luck but ive also noticed i pull the exact same fam after every event. Im going to save the omega cells from now on till they do the buy 10 get 1 guarantee epic

Tier 5 is 2500 coins and Tier 6 is 4000 coins and it was a complete waste of money for me.

I try to buy each different pack once but this was the worst. I won't probably buy a pack again EVER !

And it is funny that an epic is guaranteed for 2500 coins but not for 4000.

Random Packs are a waste of money. Always have been, and always will be.

I could either wait for an ammo/ps sale, or buy 11 ammo/ps now, or buy the first 3 tiers.

I know the first option is the best route, second option is safe route, third option is...well, not sure. I'd get 4 rare or better, 1 ps and 6 mags, with increasing odds for a lethal.

Is getting 3 res and 4 rare or better (with a chance for a Lethal) a smart move? or should I do option one?

The 2x-7x lethal rate looks tempting but we don't know the base rate. If it is 0.1% then 7x is just 0.7%.

If the odds/ratio of finding a L increased with each tier pull without a L, then it would be nice. Some games use that method.

But this way it's way too risky.

Having pulled an L1 Fista and an L1 Doug from the old recruit tab, I'm not gonna lie, I was tempted. Then I remembered after pulling the L1 Fista how I went on to waste $100 trying to get another, lol.

Honestly, you're really just better off risking a monetary trade from someone looking to get out of the game. I bought my Fistas from Dark and don't regret it, given I could be spending a lot of money on these random draws and get nothing. Especially since we don't know what the base % is. Now, if Dakota could just stop messing with the process rates for my Fistas, I'd be king of the world.

Love the conspiracy talk about iOS users getting Lethals though. Makes it almost tempting to download FF on the wife's phone and do a little investigating.

OK, OK, now I need to be talked down off the ledge, lol.

Oh, and Thalstin, we thank you for being the guinea pig and for posting your less than stellar results. If it's any consolation, I was cheering for you to get #10 on the raid event. Congrats on that!

That's what I did with 100 coins I had from trying other games. I got an ironsight gunsmith v2. I regret nothing. I'll trade it for a v1 and get 7 more over time.

i bought the 1st pack and got a Shatai, Etai Shaman

i bought the 2nd pack and got a Heavy Dutie Mutie (PS it only cost 200 MC)

i'm done. this is a crock of horse shit. All in all, the first two tiers for 300 MC is a decent deal...1 ps, 3 mags and 2 rares...usually it's one rare for 300 and no bonuses.

I think gameview need to re assess their mercs rarity ratings. A guaranteed epic could be anything from a devil dog to a horde blocker (or as in Thalstins case, a dark mite queen lol).

If it were possible, I would probably end up with infinite anomalies. All in all they need to regroup some mercs or create more appropriate tiers because every old piece of crap (no pun intended) is apparently a rare worth paying for.

You are right and I don't really think the pulls are completely random. It is as if there are predetermined pools with fixed rarity and type of cards and at first it is decided from which pool you get your cards and then what you get from that pool's contents are random. If a certain card is at another pool, you can't get it no matter how many packs you buy.

When Mista was first available in a pact, I bought lots of packs at the same time and wrote all my results. ALL the R1 and R2s were from 6 families. Tigrey, Crdnl Elite, Fug Bug Sucker, Lancer, Meta-Mutant and Night Blades. That seemed strange.

Also got 10+ Night Blades v2 and only v2, no V1 . Up until now, never pulled a NB v1 btw.

You know that sounds like the pool I got last time I emptied out my vet cells. So there could possibly be a way of determining whether or not you're in a good pool and either going boom or bust?

Was just looking at the FF facebook page and came across this image. How do you guys interpret the information about his X9 damage against Raid Bosses?



When I spent the money needed to get my three Fistas, I was under the impression that he would be a permanent savage who did X9 damage to raid bosses, but this past raid event with the Depopulation dome, my only savage was Cmdr. Brodey at X5. Do you think this was simply an error they forgot to correct or should it have read "X9 damage against all raid bosses for this event," namely the Nethercore Raid event?

I honestly read it as the former and not the latter and frankly so did a lot of people responding on Facebook for that particular post.

It should of said against all raid bosses for it to be in all raids

Frankly I think they should remove all two star Rs, how exactly are they rare if you find them in the map anyway and they are useless.... when a pack says R or better it should be only the evolve-able Rs.

I've had better luck getting decent characters with radiant cells. Omega cells have been crap. I've got uber astro v2 twice, ultra mutant v2 three times & a horde chieftain E1...and yes...of course I got the infamous fug bug queen also...

i managed to get an oath v2 when i cashed in about 250 silver cells midway thru the raid lol

Just to add in I have never got anything worth a crap from any cells except that skrillez and tigrey and those always came from the bronze cell. Well a couple of days ago I decided to cash in my two omega cells (one from the last event reward and the 4th of july reward and I almost shit myself. I even yelled and scared my wife. The first cell was Big Rig v2 and the second was black bot head. I shit you not. Maybe i overreacted but I was excited. I realized after a few minutes what I already knew..... I will never have the full thing. My best reserves are the three power shots I'm hoarding because I'm ranked like 60 something in the current event. Anyone looking for black bot head all leveled with a few crystals on it? I can be reasonable. Thx
