Noob Question - Evolution

Hi,

New to the game and getting my head around evolutions for which I wanna make sure I understand things.

If I have 2 Rank 2 squadmates that I wanna evolve, do I need to max both squadmates or just whichever will be the source?

ie, 2 rogue assault mechs going to v2

Need to max both assault mechs or just 1 prior to evolving?

You just need to max the one you will be sacrificing. You can level up the target character at your leisure after the evolution.

Ya the 10 % evo is from the sacrifice. source doesnt really matter. I always do max on both just cause im always leveling together haha
