Scroll down to Marcus' reply. Of particular enjoyment is this quote:
"I don't think the Rares/Epics should change - many people spend a lot of time, money, and energy getting something like a perfectly evolved Ultra-Mutant v2. Changing that would cause an uproar in the community... but, changing the art wouldn't."

I was fired and burned at the stake... j/k I wish you guys would have just told us everything from square one. exactly what you needed to make it happen. You know some people out there have huge access to funds that you would never expect.

| I don't want to be pesimisthic, but I have the feeling something's bad gonna happen with the game...
- Bad/null communication with it's users - Amateur developers - Focused on earning money - No bugfixes - Nerfs with bad or no explanation at all - Childish finger pointing (see last "announcement")
I believe that if I spend 1 more minute thinking about it, I can get more reasons why I feel this game is going downhill (the big amount of post in this forum about it we can see lately here), but I don't want to waste too much time/money on this game now.
They better hire a good PR even if it's to tell us lies. This way they can squeeze the cow while we are happy.

| Niko: some of the forum's steam and orientation toward collaboration and jovial tenor was sucked out when Frank passed away. Also, when you have a communication vacuum all sorts of conspiracy theories begin to take root, fester, and start building traction.
My thought is that the guys running the show know how to sling code (some here might argue the compliment), but don't have someone like a Product Owner to keep things running smoothly.
Perhaps they should hire one - like me.

| Art: owner of the rights to the IP (DENA) is different.
I was talking about the person (or group) that makes decisions on the design, architecture, skill mix, graphics, new features, bug fixes, etc. That is what I am describing as the Product Owner.
Within the agile development community there is a concept of a Product Owner that has been given the responsibility and accountability to ensure the product (in this case the game) meets the needs of the stakeholders (customers & business owner). I have done that work before and see several areas where the business that owns FF could benefit from someone in that type of role.
Some smaller outfits try to blend the Product Owner with either their Project Managers or Scrum Masters, which can work for the short-term crunch. Over time, the inherent competing needs from those different sets of tasks create problems that force the business to separate the roles.
Looks like Dakota has been in this wilderness for a while and needs a guide to get them back on track.
