Infinity Gates Event - Daddy LongGuns, Lethal; Knuckledriver, Tower Boss; Particle Propeller, Event Rare

Loving the artwork on Knuckledriver (very Hellcat 2.0, but in a really good way) and sort of the lethal. Particle Propeller looks too much like a Titanfist/Helio hybrid for me.

Anyway, here ya go!


EDIT: I know what it is about the lethal that's bothering me. He just looks more like an uncommon merc than a lethal. Nothing really distinguishable about him; he just looks like he rolled off a factory assembly line with thousands of others just like him. The more I see Knuckledriver though, the more I'm convinced its some of the best artwork I've seen yet from this game.

Event tower Boss might be Hellcat's Sister. The Tower Boss keeps getting better stats. Event rare has a good skill but sorry modifier . Will probably. go for top 50. Thanks for update bud

Yeah, no problem.

I'm on the fence on this one. If I play it will definitely be for only 1 L. He's pretty much good for only PVP and I'm overloaded with plenty of other L's I can use for that, so I would probably just trade him for res.

I'd like to have Knuckledriver just for the artwork alone though.

By the way, does anybody know if there's more than one artist working with Dakota? The artwork for Knuckledriver and Particle Propeller seem very different from one another some how.

I agree Ryback, I love the artwork on knuckledriver and L does look like an uncommon. I'll just probably just get her for the artwork too. Time to take a break. ;-)

I would have liked to have seen the exo-suit arms match the movement of her own arms though, including the finger point; that would've been sweet. Plus, a little battle damage couldn't have hurt either. Some scuffs and scoring and whatnot to show that she's a bad-ass. It would also help make the FF world look a little more lived in.

Still, if this is the direction they're going to take the artwork in, you won't find any complaints from me.

Daddy LongGuns is kind of a silly name though for a mech that has no personalized features whatsoever to warrant the name Daddy in it. I get the spider reference, but just call it a different spider name or abandon the spider mech idea altogether.

Honestly, when I saw the name before the image in the JSON, I kind of had an image in my head of a futuristic post-civil war sniper, seen-it-all veteran kind of guy. The sort of nu-space cowboy you'd find wandering FF as a bounty hunter now. That or some sort of futuristic voodoo witch doctor with a group of deadly spider drones at his command.

Anyway, it is what is. I feel like they're making improvements in the right direction for the most part.

Well, the skills are a bit underwhelming but all 3 artworks are simply awesome. Actually I don't mind that the mercs are somewhat weak. I don't wanna see mercs that top the others at each event. But tower rewards always seem the weakest, don't they?

I may be one of the few people who like this L. You all know how much I love PVP though so thats really all I think about when I see skils/stats. If counterattack was 50% I would be really happy.

Ahh yes well as long as the artwork is getting better than this game is destined to return to happy valley indeed. Skill sets, Proc rates and modifiers be damned if the prehensile tail on my newest lethal doesnt give off the illusion that it articulates with delicate precision! Sorry couldnt resist, which is not to say i dont appreciate good artwork and generally am satisfied with the incremental improvements ive noticed in that department but if thats the thing we are focusing on, then dakotas' priorities in game improvements need to be re-evaluated.

On the plus side I think next to a a wis buffer like hellcat or even a decent tigrey v4 this L could be particularly Lethal. On the negative side anytime you need to rely on another fam to make an L particularly useful it seems that the L missed the L mark classification to begin with...

Not rly. They tailor it to the ammount of money they make. PvP rewards are usually the worst, since ppl will tryhard for tittles anyway. And SRB has the best rewards, since you just gotta spend some real cash if you wanna be in the top teams (or a GODLY ammount of ress to get a full savage team by day 2) Tower kinda fits in between.

As for the event, I love the artwork on daddy and the particle. Hellcat's sister (looks more like mom to me) is also nice, but it just aint my taste. I prefer shiny new stuff over battle worn equipment. And daddy reminds me too much of borderlands not to like. I did expect some muscle veteran tho, from the name. Stats are ok, but the counter proc really should be 50%.

Yeah, but percentages don't seem to mean too much in this game. It's almost like you're more at the mercy of the code than the %, if you take my meaning.

I say this after having just lost a match against a scrub team on daily PVP when none of my 3 Fistas buffed and none of my team proc'd.

It's really more just what the code in the game is telling them to do, and not an actual %.

what I noticed these past few days is that the percentages are screwed. No way it's 30% when 2 rigs and 1 blue bot do no buffs, then make 2x rounds without procing a single skill as a 5 man team. And this happened more then once in just a 2 day interval. Far too much to be called bad luck.

As for the code, I do not think you are 100% right. We play by their rules (although even dakota doesn't know what they did to the code) and, as much as this game revolves around the %, I am personally going to use: blue bot-rig-primarch-rig-X (proly mecha horde since I got 6 r1 of those) as my "cheap and broke" starting team for pvp. Even 1 rig proc is gonna send the opponents team to the scrapyard, and primarch is there to make sure half of them die anyway even if no1 procs.

I love tower because I can level up my other toons. I pretty much just need 1 blue bot, 2 golems , then two leveling toons.

I actually like the L made a team for top 50.
Procs for me are just fine. My Mac always procs and Telepath as well. This L will be like Mac but Agi base and lower modifiers. Mac is a beast. With both his skills especially the counter attack.

Yeah, let's hope that doesn't happen again. I didn't even participate, but everybody's frustration during it was palpable.

I think anti farming code has been lodged again, nothing procs in daily PVP battles

i couldnt log in entire last two days of tower and ended up 54th

^ Probably a big update. They alway put the new Invite Rewards by Tower Event. Also they are probably puting Dick and Jane in the pacts. Maybe a New Map too? But who knows.

Wow, reward ranges getting smaller and smaller! Only top 25 getting lethal and thus all rare rewards pushed up the ranks too. What's next? 1x Lethal for Top 10?

Event lethal looks like a Portal turret crossed with a Spider Droid from Star Wars.

I won't be playing much this event as I'm going on vacation in a few days. Good thing the rewards look mediocre.

Did anyone else start the event with point caches as if they had gone through the nexus? I noticed when I started the first level of the expert tower that I had 15 point caches and I thought it was a glitch. When I finished the level they cashed in and I got like 5,000 points and that was with no multiplier

It was also like that in the last tower event. For some reason your unused caches left from the prior event don't reset to zero.

I never played the last tower event, so I don't know if what I'm seeing now was the case then too:

The level 10 enemies and bosses seem to be a LOT more difficult than when I played the Anamorata Tower event.

Proc rates are lower (My Fistas are dying...MY FISTAS!), and the enemies seem to be tougher. Looks like I might have to evolve my 2 v1 Nocturnals after all to get a little boost in WIS and DEF.

I haven't gotten to level 10 yet but I can say that the defense boost from a blue wasp or two is good if you can't afford blue bots. People are undervaluing the Blue Wasps IMO.

Really the only guys I'm leveling are the battle mech guys and those are almost done, so I guess after that I can go back to my Lethal deathsquad.
