What's with the update?

What do they mean by "some skills are fine tuned to maintain game balance"?
They already screw proc rates in pvp and raid. Have they altered the modifier?

I've got no idea, first I was like: omfg they changed something about the Big Rig v2. But when I checked out the merc, stats are still the same, proc rates still the same and skill as well. Same for Swift Nox v2 etc. so I'm not sure what they did.

I m mostly worried abt the cxb series. Even I don't see anything different as of now.

They have mentioned mista fista twice. They have screwed it up twice!!! LOL.

Mods from Fatal Frontier never liked the CXB-2000U, it's too overpowered in their eyes. If they change anything about this merc, I'm done .. I'm saving for this merc the entire time, they'd ruin it all for me.

I know. I finally got a cxb 2000 A and 2 cxb 2000 u and was planning to use them in next raid. If they have changed the modifiers all my plans to run hardcore will be wasted.

Are you sure about this .. If this is true, this requires some serious hatred mails to Dakota. People have been saving and trading for these mercs so long, it's forbidden to adjust things like that after such a long time. Mista-Fista v2 still seems to have the exact same proc rates & modifiers, but it's on the list with changes so they must have messed up something.

Are you also sure it's not just because of their +DEF skills ? I have noticed that my Switchblade v2 only hits 20k max anymore when being buffed by 2x Big Rig v2 & 1x CXB-2000U.

that can't be right, tell me they didn't fuck over everyone who spent an arm and a leg on the cxb series.

If they really fucked these mercs up I'm probably gonna quit. I put too much time and effort into getting my squad together and now its all wasted potentially. This is Fucking weak

Looking at the skills, here's what I could find:

CXB Ambusher Mk. IV - 120% Modifier

CXB Upgrader Mk. IV - 25% Modifier

Lightning Reflexes - 25% Modifier

Mind Swell (big one here for Telepath owners) - 25% Modifier

Relentless Assault - 175% Modifier



They basically nerfed any good lethal out there.

Possible bug: the CXB-Upgrader skill line looks like it has increasing levels of effectiveness:
MK 1: 0.125
MK 2: 0.25
MK 3: 0.375
MK 4: 0.25

However it looks like the last level of their skill is supposed to be 0.5 if we follow the trend, which would make it still semi-useful. Otherwise, E3 Bluebots are suddenly more powerful than E4, lol.

In other news: HAHAHAHA I started switching over to Niobe-based ATK teams for raids, woot, lol. Sux to be everyone else.

I feel taken advantage of, basically my entire collection just got nerfed. I carefully collected mercs I knew wouldn't get. outdated and then they do this bullshit

A POPE Wasp will add 3700 to agi and def.

A POPE Blue Bot will now add 2750.

And sphynx is right. Why spend tons of mobacoins & time for a lethal that looks great if there's always a danger of a nerf because it's too good.

Maybe I can understand the nerfing of Lethals that were present before the game was taken over by Dakota. But a lot of new lethals were also nerfed.

Some people gave 2-3 or more of their lethals to get one of the now nerfed lethals. Who will compensate their loss ?

Just offloaded my black bot for 60 res and my Blue Bot for a Mordeo Mutant. Phew.

And there's no consistency either. Take black bot for example.

It is now nerfed to 120% x 6 atk = 720 % and only 11K AGI max so theoretical 79,2K

And you put a reward in the event that does 250% x 3 atk with 14K AGI which gives 105K and it has a second skill

I actually think the nerf was needed, and a long time in coming. Now some new players have a chance of overthrowing all the old crusty players hanging on tightly to their Jacksons and Fistas. Because, let's be honest, those players weren't bringing in any money for Dakota anyway. This new shake up, while painful at first, might make things more interesting in the PvP department (and more savage-dependant in the raid department, ugh)

on a side note, an OPE BWQ now hits harder than a POPE 2000A. Boom, headshot!

As for stat changing...
That likely won't change soon (if ever), for a few main reasons.
A) The primary shield skill was broken (in a negative way for the player), so none of us can say yet whether or not the character as a whole feels right or not.
B) As danthepirate said, we advertised it as such, so it should stay that way.
C) There are lots of cards that would do well with a few minor stat tweaks, but if we start setting a precedent of changing the stats on live characters, players will no longer trust that a good or bad card will stay that way. (want me to nerf blue/black bot too? I've dreamt about it )


We've also done a round of updating skill descriptions to try and be more clear. We're using the word "clustered" to describe the cone type attacks.
I'm thinking about changing the skill animation to makes these type more clear as well, but that's a ways out.

This is a serious blow to the community. While I agree on the fact that some Ls were overpowered they have pretty much left us with the impression that we shouldn't ever spend a lot on a merc or even try hard for a certain lethal because it may just get nerfed later on.

Seeing as there is currently a run on blue/black bots, what happens if the devs change their minds and re-establish the bots to their former glory?

I think the community that off-loaded their mercs would burn the place to the ground.

This was a really really bad decision for the developers to have done this...

And let's be clear on what has happened here: instead of continuing the tradition of rolling out more and more powerful "must-have" mercs, the trend of mercs that suck donkey balls has made the great mercs of the past "too powerful". If Dakota had simply unveiled mercs that could compete with the strengths of the cxb series, we wouldn't be here.

As I said, I'm totally done with the game now. My trust in this game went down to 0 procent, it's not even worth playing anymore. I'll spam Dakota with 500 hatred mails, hack their database lol, I don't give a shit anymore .. Fuck Dakota ..
