Brody.

The leader is only used in raid and at the moment the attack team is cheapest and most effective.

The Leader can be potentially be used in the PVP event every 3rd battle when both rows of the formation come into play.

Agreed with Dan; I like Kennedy and Duke as well, but I'd say the best bet for your first go is Brody.
