its easiest to whatever your going to pope just to do to the 8 r1s so you dont mess anything up

is the return better if you do this?...

R1 + R1c  = R2
3 x (R1c + R1c) = 3 x R2c

R2 + R2c = E3
R2c + R2c = E3c

E3 + E3c = E4

E4 + c = E4c


OR...

4 x (R1 + R1c)  = 4 x R2
2 x (R2 + R2c) = 2 x E3
E3 + E3c = E4
E4 + c = E4c

Yup only difference is when you crystal the base merc.

Crystals really confuse everyone, but for me it was like one of those "ah HA!" Moment things and once I got it I felt like a total idiot for being confused for so long. Now I can POPE and OPE200 in my sleep (Well, except for that one time I actually literally tried to POPE in my sleep and I ended up forgetting to level my last pair to level 99 before evolving and ended up with that ghetto pope F9 that haunted my dreams. What a waste that was haha)

As I'm sure I'll keep this merc forever, I'm building a 400cc version. It's one of the fastest mercs out there, and just as good as a Daddy LongGuns in my opinion. ( Does even more damage than Daddys proc. ) May not have a Heavy Counter proc, does have some serious ATK debuff.

true but a tad late now and I couldn't be arsed to wait 2 weeks to shift them all wanted to get it made as id been sitting on the 8 lvl 70's for weeks!

Dude, that is some serious coin when you start monetizing the assets used to build him. Using round numbers, if you picked up the mercs for 10 res, there is 80, adding in the standard 200 crystals drops another 20 res, and doing POPE adds another 40 crystals per type (so in your merc that is another 80 crystals - or 8 res more), there's 108 res dropped on him. Don't forget to do the lock closing thing on this one as you would be as sad as when mamoncrief fusioned poorly (and all of us have at some point playing this game).

Also, if you aren't dropping 400cc on the merc, it is NOT a POPE merc when you don't want it anymore ...

oh I wont be letting go of it invested enough already, though I only bout 2-3 at the most, most were rewards, granted I could of sold all and bout a pope but as I said I couldn't be arsed to wait weeks to sell them
