Frank's Fight

I would like to farewell our great friend and inspiration Mr. Frank Edge.
I'm very sad to hear about the news and he has given me a lot of great memories and laughter
I sincerely wish he is in the better place and I pray for the well being of his family
Gonna Miss you Frank!!

Extremely sad right now, having heard the news.

Although I didn't know him personally, it was as though he was a long time friend thanks to this forum & game.

His fight was an inspiration to all and it makes the small things that we get mad at in our lives look so pathetic.

My sincere condolences to his family & friends. He'll be missed greatly.

I'll raise a toast in his memory. Cheers, Frank. Glad we could bring you a small glimmer of joy as you went through some tough times.

I was stunned by the fact he went so soon. 2 weeks ago we were talking through PM, saying they predicted he could still live for a couple of months. All the sudden I read this topic and I was like: you've got to be kidding me. Frank, I never believed in heaven, but if you read this, know that you made a lot of people have a good laugh with your funny sarcastic comments.
I'll miss you, even though I didn't know you in person. And I'm sure that I'm not the only one, as I've said before, the community was always here for ya !

Frank had 2599 posts. 1200 more then the 2nd most active poster. I'm going to miss his comments and advice so much. He also was an amazing player. If you look at his squad he really dis go out on top.

Sorry to hear of your passing. You where one of the first people to give me some good advice when I found these forums....you where one of the good ones rest in peace.

Left one last message for Frank and his Wife on his facebook page thought i would share it with everyone because i believe all of us that loved him would have said the same!!!!

Its not how long you live but how u live, and not knowing frank personally would tell me he lived a good life. Its the impact that you make in someone's life is all that matters other then just being in there life. Only knowing Frank for the last 4 months has made a huge impact on mine and to know that he never once complained or was depressed or blamed anybody for having cancer shows us that all of us healthy people that are not sick how much we take our lives for granted. Im pretty sure Frank right now is sitting next to God showing him how to play Fatal Frontier and complaining about the proc rates but thank you Wendy for allowing him to be himself and im pretty sure that the Love you felt from him in his short life is more Love then some of us have felt in a lifetime and the impact that he has had on so many people will show you why he was put on this earth. We liked all the same stupid movies that most people would shame so one last time your my boy Blue!!! R.I.P. and Thank you Frank..

I'm happy for Frank, as now he is no longer in pain, and he will live on as long as the people he shared his time with hold onto the memories.

His family, I wish the best and hope that the time isn't far away where you are able to celebrate his life instead of mourn his death. I have a very similar situation going on with part of my family, I empathize with the stress of it but remember he's no longer suffering. Celebrate life, don't fear death. Life is short and I'd personally much rather live it well to 40 than alone til 140.

I second that and I will miss the man who would do anything for others and give you the shirt off his back he had so much love and advice and was always helping someone out or giving something away. You will be missed brother

It was barely 3 days ago that Frank last logged in.
Now the forum seems lonely without him.

At least now he ain't in pain anymore. He is resting up in heaven.

All right that is all i wanna say.

Losing Frank has been a terrible tragedy. I will always have fomd memories of our friend. I had always considered myself a noob in FF, then one day frank messaged me for my advise on his lineup I know we all help each other. But he was the 1st forum member to reach out to me. It really put a smile on my face to have a well known & beloved member come to me for advise in a game that I was fairly new at myself. I know that doesn't sound like much but man it made my day that day & sparked a really good friendship.

I look back & reminisce on everyone scrambling to put the franks fight account together for him in secret. That was an amazing display of love & care that we all have. And Frank knew it. We gave him a chance to get in the tops of the leader boards. That event was special.

He loved every one of us as we did him.

Whether ppl in here are arguing & hate each other for the moment or getting along in perfect harmony...at the end of the day we all care for each other. We are the legs of the table that is Fatal Frontier. Without each of us this game would not stand. Frank knew that. He never took sides or spoke behind anyones back. Frank would flat out give his thoughts and opinions based on what HE thought was right or wrong... He was a true warrior until the end and nothing short of admirable.

We could all learn a few things from him.

I wish nothing but the best for his loved ones in the future.

We miss you buddy...

With u on that hatch. I am so thankful that I donated to franks account for his big tower push, watching him succeed was awesome.

I think frank kinda won us all a lethal that event. Seeing him get it from a group collectively supplying the Res was a good feeling for sure. There isn't much I wouldn't do to see him back here fightn for another lethal.

I never knew Frank, but from all the incredible things I've heard about him, I wish I had.

Yes. He always seemed up for a good thread derailment.
 
Also he was awake at crazy times which seemed to line up well with when I was on.
 
Soon I should have my Frank's Fight shirt.....

His wife Wendy emailed me to say she was forwarding my shirt on to me. I was going to email back to thank her and was considering pointing her in the direction of this thread as I thought that if she was up for it she might like to read the comments written here. Does anyone object/ think that would be a bad idea?

I miss Frank's posts too. He was the life of this forum and the life of the whole game it seems.

I believe Wendy is aware of the forum coz Frank was on here almost 24/7 lol

Its crazy how much I miss that guy. I still have moments when I see something or think about something and go to the forum to see what frank would have to say about it and realize he won't be there.

Have been abit slow to pick this up..

Such an absolute shame to no longer see franks presence with us on this world, and on these forums.. The world is definitely a lesser place without him, I didn't really know him well but he was certainly an incredible guy, absolute respect to his determination and courage during his whole ordeal.

My most sincere condolences to his wife and family.

@duave- I been cracking up with the posts Wendy has been sending out on Franks FB, you seen those. It reminded me of your comment about him posting here haha

M: that is too funny about Wendy's posts. Several times Frank would tell me things in a PM discussion about what he was leveling for her (and scratching his head as the merc had the cool graphic instead of actually being useful). We'd laugh, and then get back to our more serious discussion on squad setup, or what should / should not get crystals, etc.

Sometimes I think he was blowing smoke with his damage claims for the Keymasters. Guess the "Great Nerfing" was Dakota's way of memorializing Frank and his Keys.

Not to mention the similarity between his trading card graphic and the commando L merc ... eerie.

My condolences to Frank's family. I never had the chance to meet Frank, sounds like the kind of guy I would have gotten along with. Hope his family and friends stay strong in this difficult time.

Frank was an incredible guy. For those of us that did know him, he was a life changer.

He sure was, R.I.P. Frank ! We'll always miss you ! 

I still think about Frank all the time. I'll never get rid of my Gyro because he helped me build it. I also can't play GTA V without thinking about him.
